"Operators are increasingly interested in how to implement price increases, and this report should help them to explore this issue."

This report uses the results of Analysys Mason’s annual consumer survey to analyse how customers would respond to hypothetical mobile price increases in 19 countries.

Questions answered in this report

  • How sensitive are customers to price increases?
  • Which factors affect intention to churn following price increases?
  • How does intention to churn due to price increases vary by country? What factors cause these differences?

Survey data coverage

The survey was conducted in association with Dynata in July and August 2025. The survey group was chosen to be representative of the mobile-using population in the countries surveyed. We set quotas on age, gender and geographical spread to that effect. There were at least 1000 respondents per country (750 respondents for Saudi Arabia and the UAE)

Geographical coverage

  • Asia–Pacific: Australia, New Zealand and Philippines
  • Europe: Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Norway, Poland, Spain, Sweden, Turkey and the UK
  • Middle East: Saudi Arabia and the UAE
  • North America: Canada and the USA
  • Sub-Saharan Africa: South Africa
