Smartphones forecast to grow to 26% of handsets by 2014

Analysys Mason forecasts that the proportion of mobile phones in use worldwide that are smartphones will increase at a CAGR of 32% from 2010 to 2014, when 26% of handsets in use will be smartphones. Android will come to be the dominant platform and there will be nearly as many smartphones in use in emerging Asian markets as in North America and Western Europe combined.
