The London office

Our work

Typical projects

Our work reflects the role of London as a global financial centre and a hub for digital and creative technology. We support clients throughout the digital infrastructure value chain with their buy-side, sell-side and financing transactions. We work closely with Ofcom and the British government (and have done so for nearly 25 years) and have used our expertise in regulation and policy to help clients around the world. We work with mobile and broadband operators to formulate their strategies, and have developed a rich track record of engagements with tech giants including Google and Meta on issues from the economic impact of submarine cables to the convergence of TV and online advertising.

Our work in the London office often focuses on transaction services. We provide commercial support to strategic and financial investors that are interested in telecoms assets. These projects typically span 4–8 weeks and  often have a strong strategic component because investors are always looking for growth potential, which requires strategic thinking.

Our London office is also the main hub of our Research division. Our Analysts are leading thinkers in the industry and they share their expertise at events around the world. They work as a team to research and provide analysis on the key topics driving the TMT industry and affecting operators and vendors worldwide. This highly qualitative work involves creating and updating various topic-specific market models, conducting primary and secondary research, producing reports on new and interesting topics and presenting work to various clients. Our Consultants and Analysts often collaborate to provide unparalleled expertise to our clients.

I started my first job as a Research Analyst at Analysys Mason in 2020 after graduating with a BSc in physics and an MSc in quantum technologies from University College London. The training programme and rotation scheme provided fantastic opportunities to establish a strong foundation in the TMT sector and to undertake a variety of projects within different research practices in the firm. Outside of work, I enjoy curating music playlists for jam sessions and karaoke nights, going to culinary gatherings to discover new cuisines and cruising around town with my skateboard and learning new tricks.

Michelle Lam Analyst

I joined Analysys Mason straight after graduating with a degree in manufacturing engineering from Cambridge University and have been part of the London team (now as a Consultant) for the last 3 years. I applied to Analysys Mason because I wanted to work in a strategy role and I have enjoyed the variety of projects that I have been involved with thus far. Outside of work, I generally enjoy trying out all the new and different restaurants and bars that London has to offer, as well as running and keeping fit.

Guniz Kama Consultant

I work as a Consultant in Analysys Mason's London office. I joined Analysys Mason straight after studying philosophy, politics and economics at the University of Oxford, but I am originally from Sweden and have previously lived in Spain and the Netherlands. In my spare time, I am a huge music and theatre geek, politics nerd and expert Mario Kart driver.

Alexander Ohlsson Manager

My comprehensive schooling was patchy; after getting to Oxford and completing a Master's in mathematics I knew that I wanted to work in a high-growth sector, but in an area with a bit more diversity and interest than finance or pharmaceuticals. Analysys Mason was by far the best fit and I was excited by the idea of becoming an ‘industry expert’ and taking a role that involved more research than a typical consultancy role. I loved to write, despite having a technical degree that did not actually require much writing, and becoming an analyst at Analysys Mason allowed me to both apply my analytical mind and write lots about my findings! I have become an expert in several areas of the telecoms, media and technology sector and have managed large teams, as well as owning my own projects end-to-end.

Martin Scott Principal Analyst

I joined the company in Milan back in September 2011 after a short stint in a ‘big-4’ firm. I spent my first few years learning about various aspects of the TMT sector and travelling to work alongside the brilliant minds of my colleagues in other offices. I relocated to London in 2015 and started to specialise in transaction support. I have had the pleasure of seeing several colleagues moving through the ranks and becoming seasoned and trusted professionals that I am very proud of. I very much look forward to accompanying them through the next steps of their careers, much like senior colleagues have done with me since I joined 10 years ago! When I am not talking telecoms, I enjoy the various aspects of London (such an amazing city for families with young kids) and taking road trips to explore the UK (and beyond)!

Alessandro Ravagnolo Partner

I have been with the company for 14 years, ever since I left Manchester University with a degree in management science. I spent my first few years in the Manchester office, then took a 9-month sabbatical to go backpacking around Asia before moving to London. I love the outdoors and now plan most of my holidays around hiking, snowboarding or scuba diving. During the COVID-19 lockdowns, I used the extra time at home to develop a new (indoor) hobby of woodwork and furniture making.

Richard Morgan Partner

I am originally from Greece and have been with the company ever since I left London Business School with a Master’s degree in 2014. I appreciate the friendly and respectful culture of the group, as well as the responsibility given to junior staff. Outside of work, I enjoy team ball sports, outdoor adventures and electric guitars.

Miltos Andriopoulos Principal

I joined Analysys Mason as a Consultant in 2021. When working on an M&A project in a previous role, I learnt of the invaluable experience that Analysys Mason brings to strategic projects and senior leadership teams. I graduated from Imperial College London and my prior experience includes investment banking and commercial strategy within the TMT space.

Ryan Spence Consultant

I joined Analysys Mason as an Associate Consultant in the London office 3 years ago and am currently a Consultant, which involves leading workstreams and smaller projects. Before joining I studied business management at King’s College London, which included a year abroad in Toronto at the Rotman School of Management. Outside of work I like taking in the bars and restaurants that London has to offer (and sometimes during work too because the office location is perfect for a good lunch), as well as rock climbing, snowboarding and wakeboarding, although none of these hobbies have fared well during lockdown! Before joining Analysys Mason I had no TMT experience and limited consulting and transaction support experience, but the complete introductory training and ongoing support from the team ensured that I was up and running quickly and I have never looked back since!

Nathan Williams Manager

I have been with the company since 2019, after completing an aerospace engineering degree at the University of Bath. I had no previous TMT experience, but the support of everyone in the London team helped me to get up to speed, and I have now worked on various projects across the industry. In my free time, I enjoy London’s theatres as well as cooking all types of food at home.

Lyudmil Bozadzhiev Consultant

I graduated with a BSc in economics from University College London and an MSc in management from London Business School, and have been with Analysys Mason ever since. I play all kinds of team sports and am a huge Manchester United fan.

Sviat Novik Consultant

I joined Analysys Mason as an Associate Consultant in September 2020. Key events that led me here included receiving a Bachelor's degree in economics and finance, working for over half a year in a boutique consultancy firm (in Melbourne, my hometown) and completing my Master’s in management at London Business School. Throughout my studies, I was fortunate enough to spend 3 weeks in Malaysia developing a market-entry strategy for the incumbent operator, and to have a fireside chat with the founder of Swarm, a low-cost global satellite start-up, on a San Francisco tech trip. Experiences like this fostered my interest in TMT. Outside of work, one of my hobbies is learning Japanese (I am quite the anime buff).

Sabre Konidaris Consultant

I have a background in economics with a focus on data analysis. I have a Bachelor and Master of Sciences in economics and social sciences from Bocconi University (Italy). I am a member of Analysys Mason’s Regional Markets team, and am mainly involved in building and updating Excel market models and estimating and forecasting key industry indicators. Prior to joining Analysys Mason, I gained experience as an economic analyst in the financial and telecoms sectors.

Stefano Porto Bonacci Senior Analyst

After graduating with an engineering degree from the University of Aberdeen, I moved to London and joined Analysys Mason’s research department. I like working in research because it allows me to work on various interesting projects related to many countries across the world. Outside of work, I like to get outside and go for a walk and tune into good music. I also enjoy playing and watching many sports, particularly volleyball.

Jakub Konieczny Senior Analyst

I completed an MEng (Hons) in chemical engineering at the University of Manchester, which included a year in industry at one of EDF Energy’s nuclear power stations. After graduating, I worked for 10 months as a strategy consultant for a boutique consulting firm in London before joining Analysys Mason in the middle of the pandemic as a Trainee Research Analyst. It has been really enjoyable so far to work with some great people, and the role itself combines my interests in analytics, research, business and technology.
