"Physical AI use cases will unlock a new tranche of value from IoT; effective connectivity will be essential for these use cases."

Physical AI use cases – that is, AI systems that sense, reason about and act within the physical world – are increasingly moving out of pilots and into production. IoT devices are central to these use cases, and the use of (off-site) edge infrastructure is also increasingly recognised as critical for fulfilling latency, security and sovereignty requirements. Growing adoption of physical AI means IoT connectivity providers need to understand organisations’ requirements for connecting IoT devices to edge AI infrastructure, and the more centralised infrastructure that sits behind this.
