Zero Touch Conference: Standardization Meets Open Source to Manage Programmable Networks

Caroline Chappell, Research Director at Analysys Mason, will deliver a speech covering the topic of zero touch network automation for the virtualised network, at the Zero Touch Conference: Standardization Meets Open Source to Manage Programmable.

About the event

Open Source Networking Days (OSN Days) Bonn is a unique, two-day mini-summit hosted by Deutsche Telekom that takes a deep dive at the automation use case for telcos.

Deutsche Telekom has set a strategic objective to facilitate the collaboration between SDOs and open source projects on the path to automated end-to-end network and service management. We drive this approach in the ETSI ISG ZSM and in open source networking projects such as ONAP, part of the LF Networking.

The management and automation of future networks and services is a key challenge for the telecoms industry. While AI/Machine Learning will be used to underpin network automation, the optimal framework for the simplification of network and service management will leverage deliveries from both open source and standardized solutions.
