Joan is a Managing Partner at Analysys Mason. He specialises in due diligence and regulation of fixed and wireless networks. He has more than 25 years' experience in telecoms, and has worked with regulators, operators and investors worldwide. He recently advised operators and investors in several countries on fibre-to-the-home (FTTH) access networks for both retail and wholesale services in various European markets. This project included towers and mobile networks, and also considered spectrum issues in Europe and Latin America. Joan has been involved in numerous regulatory projects for both operators and regulators regarding access products, termination and competition issues and has acted as expert witness in several international cases. Prior to joining Analysys Mason, Joan spent several years working at Inmarsat (a satellite operator in the UK) in its spectrum-management department.
Joan currently heads Analysys Mason's activities in Southern Europe and Latin America. He holds an MSc in telecommunications engineering, an MSc in aerospace telecommunications systems, and an MBA.
