Joan specialises in due diligence and regulation of fixed and wireless networks. With more than 25 years' experience in telecoms, he has worked with regulators, operators and investors worldwide. He has recently advised operators and investors in several countries on FTTH access networks for both retail and wholesale services in several European countries, on towers and mobile networks, including spectrum issues in Europe and Latin America. Joan has also been involved in numerous regulatory projects for both operators and regulators regarding access products, termination and competition issues and has acted as expert witness in several international cases. Prior to joining Analysys Mason, Joan spent several years working at Inmarsat (a satellite operator in the UK) in its spectrum-management department.
Joan currently heads Analysys Mason's activities in Southern Europe and Latin America and is a member of the company's Board of Directors. He holds an M.Sc. in Telecommunications Engineering, an M.Sc. in Aerospace Telecommunications Systems, and an M.B.A.
