5G LAN and TSN offer potential in private networks, but providers must proactively build the ecosystem

5G LAN and 5G time-sensitive networking (TSN) are two features that may help private 5G networks fulfil the telecoms industry’s long-held ambition for 5G to become a key part of industrial networks. Private network providers have largely ignored 5G LAN and TSN until now. Recent hardware advancements in 5G LAN and TSN, along with successful breakthroughs in trials, could encourage them to start to pay more attention.
