Private network spectrum availability is improving worldwide but still varies by country

Spectrum availability for private networks expanded rapidly in 2025 and the first half of 2026. Analysys Mason’s updated private networks spectrum tracker includes 53 countries that have either made spectrum available for private networks (30) or have plans/consultations to do so (23) as of May 2026. In May 2025, the corresponding figures were 27 and 7 respectively.
