Towercos’ mature core business faces some new uncertainties

The towerco business model is widely perceived as mature, with steady cash flows and strong EBITDA margins. However, towercos’ core business faces a number of longer-term uncertainties about the volume of infrastructure that will be required in the next few years.
Analysys Mason's new Cells and sites database brings together national- and MNO-level metrics on physical cell sites, base stations and coverage, plus detailed operational and financial data for towercos themselves. Current coverage includes Europe, North America (including holdings in other regions), plus the 20 largest towercos in the world. In the next update, the towerco part of the database will be expanded to other regions, so as to effectively cover all towercos with over 5000 sites, plus many smaller plays.
