Analysys Mason’s Satellite communications constellations database tracks satellite communications constellations worldwide, covering commercial, government and military systems. It records 86 constellations operated by 57 organisations, from deployed systems through to those announced but not yet launched.

For each constellation, the data provides: satellite operator, constellation name, announced entrance into service, cumulative capital raised, global capacity at full deployment, full constellation satellites, active satellites, orbit, spectrum (user), flexibility, transparent versus regenerative payload, waveform, baseband, network orchestration, bus manufacturer, payload manufacturer, primary use case, commercial/government status and region of headquarters.

Coverage spans four headquarters regions – North America, Europe, Asia, and the Middle East and Africa – and primary use cases, including broadband, direct-to-device (D2D), IoT, secure and government communications, data relay and aeronautical communications.

The database is updated twice a year.
