Sustainability regulations and frameworks tracker
Analysys Mason’s Sustainability regulations and frameworks tracker provides a detailed summary of sustainability regulations, frameworks and standards implemented at global, regional and national levels. For each entry, the tracker provides information on whether the regulation, framework or standard is mandatory or voluntary, its status (active, forthcoming or proposed), key roll-out or implementation dates, and company applicability (for example, based on size or defined thresholds). The tracker also identifies the sustainability topics explicitly covered such as emissions, energy consumption, waste, water, material use and biodiversity, and the type of activity required, including data and metric reporting, strategy development, performance or target setting, or disclosure of sustainability‑related financial risks.
The tracker only includes regulations, frameworks and standards applicable to digital infrastructure and services companies, and excludes sector‑specific regimes with no material relevance (for example, those limited to mining, agriculture or other non‑digital industries). It also captures generic sustainability frameworks and standards – as well as studies, recommendations or strategic plans – introduced by national telecoms regulators and international organisations.
