Business FWA presents new opportunities for operators beyond being a substitute for fixed-line broadband
Analysys Mason expects that fixed-wireless access (FWA) will remain a relatively niche proposition in most countries; FTTP will dominate future broadband provision. However, FWA may play an important role in delivering a more complete set of connectivity solutions, especially for highly distributed enterprises and in certain verticals such as construction and healthcare.
The B2B use cases for FWA are largely complementary to those for fibre broadband, so offer operators the potential to generate incremental revenue. Converged operators also have an opportunity to use FWA to differentiate their existing fibre business broadband offerings.
