N-able’s 2025 performance and strategic positioning provide a useful lens through which to assess the next phase of competition in the IT and cyber-security market for small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs). The company is both steadily growing revenue and expanding the capabilities of its platform.

These developments are significant not only for N-able, but also for what they suggest about the wider market. Competition is shifting away from standalone remote monitoring and management (RMM), back-up and security tools towards more integrated cyber-resilience platforms that managed service providers (MSPs) can package and scale.
