DTW Ignite 2025 centred around the theme of ‘pathways to growth’, and AI and autonomous networks were positioned as the primary enablers of such growth. However, CAMARA-based network APIs also featured prominently, both on the main stage and across the show floor, which demonstrates their importance in unlocking new revenue opportunities for telecoms operators.
The momentum is building, but the responsibility to grow the network API market now lies with operators. They need to act quickly to seize the forecasted USD7.6 billion network API opportunity by 2030 (which may grow significantly by 2035). Operators at DTW Ignite acknowledged that progress so far has been too slow, and that more urgency and commitment is required if the ecosystem is to scale successfully.
