Case studies report | PPTX and PDF (18 slides) | Fixed Services
This report explores and analyses operators’ strategies for fixed broadband services delivered over fixed-wireless access (FWA), primarily (but not exclusively) over 5G.
Operators can utilise spare capacity on their mobile networks to offer FWA services and increase their presence in fixed broadband markets, but they have to develop strategies that account for local market contexts to fully leverage FWA.
Key questions answered in this report
- In which situations can FWA serve as a strategic tool to improve fixed broadband market share?
- What constitutes best practice when deploying FWA services?
- How are operators addressing the heavy traffic requirements of FWA subscribers relative to those of mobile subscribers?
- How should operators price FWA tariffs?
