Cloud services: opportunities for suppliers to small and medium-sized businesses

Small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) are adopting cloud services, but are continuing to direct most of their spend towards legacy solutions. Suppliers still have plenty of opportunity to benefit from SMBs shifting to cloud-based services.

The benefits and challenges that smaller businesses face when adopting cloud services are different from those faced by large or multinational businesses. For example, migration may be simpler for smaller firms, but they will have fewer internal resources to manage the transition. The suppliers that understand these issues and how to address them will be the best placed to succeed.

In this webinar, Deepinder Sahni (Principal, Consulting) and Tom Rebbeck (Research Director) will discuss the findings from our recent survey of 3000 SMBs and the implications for cloud vendors.

This session will cover:

  • the adoption of cloud infrastructure and SaaS, exploring differences by business size and region
  • the benefits that cloud services bring to SMBs, how this varies by company size and what this means for vendors’ positioning and marketing messages
  • the challenges that SMBs face in adopting cloud services, and how vendors can ease these problems
  • the role of various channel partners, such as managed service providers (MSPs) and telecoms operators, in delivering and supporting cloud services.

The webinar will consist of a 35-minute presentation followed by a 10-minute Q&A session.
